Supporting Your Library

How to get involved!

Volunteering

Volunteers are always welcome here at the Charlotte Public Library! Please feel free to come down and ask what you may do to help out. Straightening shelves, shelving books and DVD's, or dusting shelves and books, making posters for promotional activities, there is much to do!

Friends of the Library

Although the Friends of the Library program was disbanded years ago, this volunteer group is a crucial part of any library. They are the volunteers who think of fundraisers, promote them, and provide for extra funds to purchase books or other necessary library items for the success of the library. They can also read stories to children, listen to children read books, and help with after school homework. All that is required is that the group meet with the librarian every other month, preferably in the  morning, and share ideas and help promote the library through philanthropic activities that will involve the community.
